I received a new novel from Mark this morning before the day began. Very sweet. It is Susan Howatch’s High Flyer. It will take a great deal of self-discipline to not drop all the housework I have to do today so I can sit down and start reading.
I hope everyone else enjoys their Valentines Day treats as much as I know I will enjoy mine.

Housework? Fuhgetaboudit! I guarantee you will NOT be able to put this book down. It is the most suspenseful Howatch novel ever. 🙂

I just finished (re)reading High Flyer. Yikes. What a bumpy ride.
I didn’t read any on Friday, but the cold OK wind and clouds outside made yesterday a perfect “stay-in-the-house reading day.” So between a few chores, addressing needs of children, and preparing for tonight’s dinner guests, I spent most of the day reading to past page 300. I haven’t got to any today, yet. Vintage Howatch.
