Just over a week ago, I came back home from 4 wonderful days visiting with my friend, Michelle, and her familiy in Los Angeles. It was great to have time to visit with her and not have to stop mid-sentence to correct a child or stop some impending disaster. It was a bit surreal to be in the airport without anyone needing me. Sometimes I forget that I am a person apart from the other persons in my life.
The week since my trip has been harried and crazy with work to do, so I haven’t blogged about my adventures. I hope to be able to do so soon. I hate that I have not blogged in a while after getting into more of a blogging groove than I have had for a while. Until I have a big enough time to write a real entry about my trip, have a great week! (Yes. I am assuming I won’t write anything until the end of this week.)
Glad you had a good time, well deserved. Now, I’ll just wait right here until you come back to tell us about your lil adventure. (sound of whistling a little tune, and doing a mini manicure on my nails)
A few years ago, a friend asked me to a wedding– on the coast of Ireland! Besides the beautiful wedding, most of the rest of the trip read like a bad travel sitcom of all the things that could go wrong, world travel gone survivalist. BUT I smiled the whole time, repeating, “I don’t have to explain this fiasco to anyone, or make it right for anyone.I’m on vacation.”
Flu in tight quarters, finding toilet paper in rural Ireland, being stuck in the backseat of a compact car full of type A New Yorkers… I still need to write about it, myself.

A full report will be nice if/when you have time, but it’s good to know you went, you enjoyed, and you are safely home.
