My mother, who has professed faith in Christ as long as I can remember but was not a regular church attender, has been faithfully attending church (in the church I grew up in) for the past several months. I called her today to wish her well on her 77th birthday, and she reported to me that she was baptized yesterday. I praise God for this news.

Praise God indeed! WOW! Rejoicing with you…
I appreciate all of you rejoicing with me. Mark and I couldn’t seem to get this news out of our heads after we heard it. My sisters, in particular, and I have been praying for years that she would begin attending church regularly. There was so much variety in the church affiliation history of our family before I came along (last child of nine), that I didn’t even know she had never been baptized until this week.
What wonderful news! Our God is gracious!
