Two things:
(1) Bitch and moan is grand old tradition of warriors (troops were bitching and moaning in WWII too).
(2) These lads are in one of the most intractible locales (Bagdad’s Shia slum).
I get the uneasy sense that there were other perspectives among the men that were not presented. For example, I never heard from any officers or Sgt. or above NCO’s. EM’s always complain about everything. If you don’t you go crazy.
