It’s all about who had cred with the group who claims to be the arbiters of what is reformed. It was never about right or wrong, only about power. (Yes, that last is a Buffy citation)

Theology done at the intersection of paranoia and hallucination.
Rergarding the last link; I had to stop reading when I came to this wonderfully insightful statement:
“I view Federal Vision as one of the most divisive and dangerous doctrines that has ever been introduced into the Reformed church.”
It’s great to see how level-headed and historically educated these guys are, isn’t it?
But then again, what do you expect when you look on the “about” page and the London Baptist Confession is listed right alongside the historic Reformed Confessions as being an adequate treatment of Reformed Theology.
Nah… the militant anti-FV crowd aint Baptistic… what would give us that impression?
Sheesh!
Yeah, Ministry Watchman, what a name. Sheesh, this guy is way out there. He sounds like a reject from the set of Ghost Busters.
You know, I read that Letham book on Orthodoxy, and I agree that it is very good, but my one complaint would come precisely at the point that Trueman seems to be giving appreciation- that of icons.
I thought Letham was way too soft on the use of icons, and I think that he neglected to inform his readers that Calvin was well aware of the latria/dulia dichotomy. He just thought it was bunk.
I would consider this a fairly important point of disagreement too (2nd commandment and all), but all in all, the book is very helpful.
