I agree with you–I think you have read more Luther. But you showed evidence of the contrary in that comment.

Mark, and you seem to enjoy scouring the internet trying to deal with every little misdemeanor … perhaps you noticed that I gave Alastair’s comment a post of its own so that my readers could hear the perspective of someone sympathetic to Wright. Not bad for a TR! And, for what it’s worth, I still think Jordan’s use of ‘theoporn’ – a term subsequently removed, I think – is worse than some of Luther’s diatribes considering the time, context, etc.!

We are going to have to disagree about the appropriateness of the term.

Did I ever call you a TR? If so, I apologize. I think your positions are quite reasonable and are liable to get you consigned to FV-Hell by your friends if you’re not careful.

As far as I can remember, my objections have been not to your actual positions on theology, etc, but to your portrayals of others and their actual positions.

As far as scouring and all that. It only takes a few minutes to have technorati.com or blogsearch.google.com to send you reports about things that might interest you. I don’t catch everything (the post by Alastair, for example).

Anyway, I thought your criticism of Jordan was off–that Jordan was more than justified in what he said. I expected you to disagree with me. But the comparison to Luther just seems completely absurd. That I did not expect.

Don’t you think ‘theoporn’ is a little much? After all, Jordan did remove it from his original post. So evidently he did. I’ll have to double check. In actual fact, I quite enjoyed the articles he wrote …

Anyway, my friends haven’t taken me to task yet on my positions but I’ve always maintained, against some of them, that FVers are not heretics!
