1. Always back up template in case you, for example, delete 95% of html while trying to install a tracker and save without realizing your mistake.

2. Take time to re-do all the work you did in inserting your own stuff into the generic template.

The fjords completely mixed up my links…

This one looks fine as far as the font is concerned. That pretty much overrides any other aesthetic concerns I might have.

Once again the fonts are all wonky in the sidecolumns and the text is all spelled out with my social networking icons rather than being revealed when cursor hovers.

But I love fjords.

1. Obviously I decided the newspaper template wasn’t me.

2. But what’s with the large ugly sized font in the side columns? None of the templates looked like this when I looked at the demos. (ADD: Notice also that the sizes are much better if you click on a single post or archive).

3. And why are my lines being justified? That too is inexplicable. I don’t get it.

ADD: Also the space between paragraphs is completely different…

ADD MORE: I change to the classic template because this is the only one that works.  Somehow I did something in the “WordPress Default 1.6” template that messed up every other theme I loaded.

Why did my font size in the side columns suddenly expand?  I tried some fixes in the stylesheet and made everything worse.

Help.

But I no longer like the sidebar content….

Why is my sidebar down at the bottom of the page?!

Grrrr!

Should I outgrow the Buffy theme?  Does it basically say “frivolous old guy?”

I think pop culture makes us all feel outdated sooner than we would otherwise.

I’ve been happy with google’s free mail for a long time.  But for almost a week now I have mostly either not been able to get gmail at all, or, had to use the html version (which I don’t mind in itself but it reminds me that something is still not right).

If you’ve written me tonight, I can’t read it.  Any other gmail users experiencing this problem?
