I was hoping we’d hear from you on the Golden Compass.
I keep wondering if some Christian who’s read Pullman’s trilogy might actually do a little interacting with it rather than passing around a chain email telling everybody to blacklist it. I’d rather like to read the books myself just to see how the themes play out.
Too late. The homeschool email lists are flooded with warnings from people who haven’t read the book or seen the movie. I have read the book, didn’t think it was all that great and have not felt motivated at all to read the rest of the series. My son loves the books though, so I imagine we’ll be at the movie opening weekend.
