And what makes anyone think this is limited to public schools? While home-schooled children may find a safe haven for the moment, my fear is the this kind of harassment can, and likely will, extend into many more areas of daily life, including extended family, work and, so very sadly, even church.
Right, Tom. I was actually singling out (without being all that clear) the issue of posting horrible photographs. I didn’t want the wrong kind of search engine hits. Outside of locker rooms I couldn’t think of contexts were that would happen.
What gets me is the remarkable stupidity of youth today. I can sort of understand the dark natured humored in uploading a picture of your friend passed out drunk. Those pictures existed when I was in college too, although they generally didn’t make it any farther than that frat house bulletin board. But a lot of those pictures today are uploaded by the subjects themselves, and that just boggles my mind.
The person that can mass produce a pocket sized jammer that renders you invisible to cameras is going to be a very rich person.
I for one am quite glad that cell phone cameras didn’t exist back when I was in high school or college.

There are bullies everywhere we live.
