Perhaps more obvious is the recommendation that if (or when) you want to speak ill of someone, you say, “God bless them.”
It may seem sort of goofy, but it’s helped — particularly when I’m tempted to be “catty” about someone else’s success (which I want to say is undeserved — unlike mind, of course).
