Mayor Says Pastor Should Apologize for Words on Gays
I’m not really sure why the pastor had to use such perjorative modern words. If one must suffer, why not suffer for reading Romans 1 rather than for talking about f@gg0ts and sissies?
Still, it pretty much demonstrates a direct overlap between the “two kingdoms.”
FWIW, I think that words such as ‘f@ggot’ should have no place in a Christian vocabulary. Such terms are hateful and alienate people that we should be treating with love. Speaking boldly against sin is important, but this duty provides no justification for the use of language that is crafted to be offensive (and is not merely offensive because it is truthful).
I think that the mayor is absolutely right to expect the pastor to publicly apologize.
Well, I agree, but I think he expects more significance to the apology than the sin you mention.
This also demonstrates how anger can cost you. He cannot be a martyr now.
Uh, the first “he” was the mayor, and the second referred to the pastor.
