Taking a break

Dark truth (really more like an amber truth): I’m getting tired of this blog.  It wearies me.  So, for the time being, if you have bookmarks or RSS feeds aimed here, you might want to change them to:

No dire predictions about when or if this might change.  Don’t really care.  Just trying this out.  My twitter and  friendfeed should both channel through the new site.

So there it is.

    Mark,

With your writing workload, it is not surprising that you find weariness in the constant flow of output in your blog.
In my case, I burn off so much of my waking life-energy in other activities (my profession, home projects, family, bible, reading, etc.) that I only have my blog for the exercise of writing.
I would also like to give you my opinion on what I think are a few factors that contribute to your fatigue regarding your blog. I want to give three points about this, but please don’t take any of it wrongly and know that I hold you in high regard.
First, you have chosen a hard path in your doctrinal convictions viz-a-viz theology, and your contention for your views and positions can take a lot out of you. I don’t need to belabor this point, I just read your blog.
The other two points are expressed in this open letter to my friend, Mark (q.v.): http://feudaltechnocrat.blogspot.com/2008/07/mental-gravity-well-of-life.html

Jim, you’re totally write that writing for a living give one a strange feeling toward writing for oneself. In one sense, it increases the desire. But it also makes you want to scream and run away from the computer as soon as possible.
