Incidentally, I think Justin’s blog is really good at keeping up with items of interest to Reformed Evangelicals, and I appreciate many of his insights.

Why is the first response to this always, “We’re not, really, you just have a saccharine view of Christian conduct”? Later, we discuss how it “might” really be the case in SOME people, but the knee jerk is always “Your standard is wrong.”
What that means is, “All those other Christians who have a reputation for being gentler and kinder than we are, aren’t as biblical as we are.”
Why are we always hopeless sinners in desperate boundless need of grace, until someone points out an actual sin?

Alas, the answer: Because we are hopeless sinners in desperate boundless need of grace.
True enough, but I think that always talking about how sinful we are and then never admitting an instance of it might be another one of those particular Reformed weaknesses. Maybe I’m just projecting. :-Þ
