Some Photos from the Late Fall & Early Winter

The trick-or-treaters who live with us.

The four young Hornes posing with a statue of Punxsutawney Phil. We took this on our recent trip to see my mom and family. My mom grew up in Punxsutawney, and I was raised about 15 miles north closer to DuBois, PA.

High drama as the newly 10-year-old Nevin prepares to blow out the candles on his cake. This small cake was the last in a series of cakes for him. So please do not think he was deprived on his birthday!

Mark and me at his surprise 40th birthday party the weekend before Thanksgiving. Wonderful friends agreed to host the party at their beautiful home, and he was completely surprised. His actual birthday is this coming Monday, so if you think of it, stop by his blog to give him your well wishes.

  1. In the Halloween photo, Calvin looks evil and the others just look bored! That’s one funny photo!

Love the one from the party. Good memories…you pulled it off quite well!

  2. Lori,

I had some better Halloween photos, but they included children from another family, so I didn’t feel comfortable posting any of them.

Batman was indeed tired at this point. This photo was taken after our first stop to visit an older lady from church. In the kids’ minds, the real trick or treating had not yet begun.

It was freezing cold the day we visited Punxsutawney. We did buy some hot chocolate right after this picture was taken.

  3. What a blessing to see your precious family! Calvin looks like he’s almost a man! Charis is grown up … where did the baby go! We love ya’ll and pray you have a Merry, Merry Christmas!

  4. Hey, Jennifer, fun pictures, but when did your kids get so grown up? It seems like only yesterday…

The pic of you and Mark reminds me of that fun night. It’s amazing that we were all able to keep the surprise. Happy belated birthday to Mark.
