  1. Thank you for the link! Very interesting article. I can’t help but cringe at references like this one: “Elite young women these days take their cues about how to behave primarily from unmarried (and therefore adolescent) males.”

    I would say that yes, she has the general point correct – women do indeed look to adolescent men (and women) for their behavior. What gets my goat is the “elite young women” comment. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard in the past year…”you’re wasting your brain…you’re not making a difference…don’t you get bored?”…I’m sure you’ve heard them all, too. Just how does chasing a career qualify one as “elite”?

    Funny how the women interviewed in the article seem to want to point the finger at someone else – “no one told me, I didn’t know…” as if having children is something to be accomplished. I wonder often if women like that just shouldn’t bother.
