Thanks for the thoughtful take on the whole situation. I’m trying to convince Jay I did him a favor, and suffered for his sake most gladly!!

Jennifer, I empathize and hope you are feeling better. I have not ever had this problem with other sweet items, such as donuts (which I can readily admit I’ve definitely eaten 3 of in a sitting before if my dear husband has fetched them for breakfast on a Saturday morning for us!). I shall be more careful from here on out, esp given the strange state of pregnancy, and the theory that perhaps some imbalance is more likely while gestating!

I feel for you. I provided Krispy Kremes as the staff snack this week for VBS. They sent the leftovers home with us. The kids each had one, and I ate a respectable half. Well, after lunch there was one left, and it kept calling to me. I ate it, and it was a biggggggg mistake. Sugar/fat hangover for the next 4 hours, and still feeling pretty poor at bedtime. Ugh. You’d think I would have had more sense after hearing our assoc pastor preach on the 7th deadly sin–gluttony–last Sunday night! Live–indulge–and learn . . . the hard way :(

You might consider the possibility that the bunny became tainted in some way, in which case Jay should thank you for sacrificially sparing him from so much misery.
